While spring cleaning my digital files, I came across this photo of a small exhibit posted on the fence surrounding the Jardin Lecoq in Clermont-Ferrand, France:
Inspired by the simple beauty of this image of the Ganges Delta, I searched online for the exhibit, only to find a treasure trove of images from space. The European Space Agency (ESA) has over 10,000 space-related images on their website, many of them high-resolution satellite photos of faraway destinations and close-to-home natural wonders.
Wouldn’t they be great as large-format prints?
Rachel, these would be SO great as large format prints. I already want them in my house. They’re such a beautiful combination of sort of a scientific, natural “real-ness” and abstract art. I love it. It brings landscape photography to a whole new level.
Chelsea, I looked into it, and you would be able to upload the files on http://www.shutterfly.com and print them at 20×30. I’m sure there are other options, but this is what immediately comes to mind. I’ve printed other large-format images this way too.
Wonderful!
Thanks!
Beautiful!
Thanks, Alison!
